2024 Tramway Stakes Details
Race 9 at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday 7th September 2024.
The Tramway Stakes is a Group 2 race held at Randwick over 1400 metres. The race is for horses aged three-years-old and older and is run under Set Weights and Penalties conditions. The total prize money this year is $300,000.

Tramway Stakes 2024 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
The best version of Amelia’s Jewel would go very close in this. She is becoming costly but commands respect against these. Freedom Rally hails from the Gollan yard and has plenty of class. Will be in this for a long way. Democracy Manifest ran a succulent race fresh and will be strips fitter for the run. Arctic Glamour is due for a win but hard to knock on current form.

Has the class but hasn’t won for a long time. Respect any market moves.
2. My Oberon (1)
May need the run but does have the ability to take this out. Monitor the market.
3. Democracy Manifest (15)
Good run fresh and not much harder here. Will get back from the draw but should be flying home late. Can win.
4. Osipenko (16)
Can’t have.
5. Loch Eagle (2)
Prefer others.
6. Old Flame (14)
This looks too tough.
7. Phearson (13)
Capable and was a very good run fresh in solid company. Should land on the speed from the wide draw and give a bold sight.
8. Amelia’s Jewel (8)
Class sprinter who is due for another win. 2 solid efforts last prep but weary that is was beaten when heavily in the market both times. Getting costly but well placed in this.
9. Molly Bloom (11)
Can’t have.
10. Freedom Rally (7)
Classy runner from the Gollan yard that resumes. Will plonk on speed and give a kick. More than capable of taking this out and boasts some strong form lines.
11. Nugget (5)
Can’t have.
12. Royal Patronage (10)
Import who commands a market watch from the leading yard with Clark booked for its Australian debut.
13. Stockman (3)
Can’t have.
14. Arctic Glamour (9)
Solid run fresh and can build off that from the sticky draw. Place chance.
15. Kintyre (12)
Can’t have.
16. Felix Majestic (4)
Prefer others.
