Third favourite is Thunder Beauty who will be having her first start in Australia after a spell of 58 weeks. Detonator Jack has never missed the trifecta, with 5 wins and 4 places from 9 starts. Rocketing By resumed for 6th in the Group 2 Missile Stakes, while Savannah Cloud is first-up from a 23 week break and goes well fresh. All other runners are currently over $12.

Made ground late for a nice win in the Aurie’s Star at Flemington last start, and has been racing really well this campaign. The only query is Caulfield as he has raced here 7 times for 6 places. Think he can get his first Caulfield win this time.

One of 3 runners for Ciaron Maher & David Eustace (the others are Chassis and Detonator Jack). Having her first start in Australia after a spell of 58 weeks. Prefer to see.

Ran 3rd in the Aurie’s Star at big odds last start. She’s racing well and can make her presence felt.

6. Savannah Cloud (8)

He is first-up from a 23 week break and goes well fresh. Has run well at Caulfield in the past and should be in the finish.

7. Detonator Jack (9)

This gelding has never missed the trifecta, with 5 wins and 4 places from 9 starts. First-up after a 28 week spell and has to be respected.

8. Umgawa (7)

Ran a great 2nd in the Aurie’s Star last start at big odds, but tends to struggle at Caulfield. Rough place chance.

9. Boogie Dancer (2)

This mare is back from a 22 week spell and was won 2 from 3 at Caulfield. Likes to race on the speed. Outside hope.

10. Laced Up Heels (3)

She started her career in Western Australia where she had 3 good wins. Having her first start for trainers Mick Price & Michael Kent (Jnr). Watch the market.

11. William Thomas (5)

Ran 3rd in this race last year. Just missed at long odds last start at Flemington and has placed in two both races this campaign. Likely to race off the speed. Won’t be far away.
