Following the early scratching of Cosmic Crusader, 11 runners remain for the 2024 R J Peters Stakes, with 6 geldings and 5 mares. There are three 4YOs, six 5YOs, one 6YO and one 8YO. Six runners had their last start in the Group 3 Asian Beau Stakes over 1400m at Ascot on 2nd November (won by Super Smink) and two had their last start in a BM 72+ over 1400m at Ascot on 26th October (won by Cosmic Crusader), while the rest came via different races. Three runners are sired by Universal Ruler and two by Playing God. Trainer Neville Parnham has 2 runners.

The early favourite is Luvnwar who resumed for 2nd in the Asian Beau Stakes last start. Second favourite is Yonga Lass who resumed for 5th in that race. Third favouritism is shared between Aztec Ruler ran 3rd after covering plenty of ground and Rusty Dreams finished 6th. The other runners are currently $10 or longer.

Generally goes well at this track. Place hope.

Ran 3rd in the Asian Beau after covering plenty of ground. Wouldn’t surprise to see him in the finish.

Returned from a 17 week break for 7th at Ascot but generally goes very well second-up. Include in trifectas.

Resumed for 2nd in the Asian Beau Stakes last start. Winning chance.

9. Mojo Rhythm (3)

Won this race last year but has disappointed in both runs so far this campaign. Not keen.

10. Russian To The Bar (7)

Finished 3.8 lengths 9th here when resuming. Place chance.

11. Rusty Dreams (2)

Finished 6th in the Asian Beau. Not the worst.

12. Yonga Lass (11)

Resumed for 5th in the Asian Beau and looks one of the main chances.
