Track: Soft 5 Weather: Fine

With the early scratching of Tutta La Vita, there is a full field of 18 runners plus 4 emergencies for the 2024 Seven Queensland Oaks. Ten runners had their last start in the Group 2 The Roses over 2000m at Doomben on 25th May (won by Scarlet Oak) and three in a 3YO BM 72 Handicap over 1800m at Randwick on 25th May (won by Invincible Spy), while the rest came via different races. Three runners are sired by Dundeel, two by Almanzor, two by Tavistock and two by Kermadec. Seven runners are trained by Chris Waller.

The early favourite is Scarlet Oak after her stylish win in The Roses. Second favourite is Molly Bloom who hit a few problems when 5th in that race. Third favourite is Ahuriri who ran 5th in the Group 1 SA Derby over 2500m at Morphettville on 4th May. Mare Of Mt Buller was 0.2 length 2nd in The Roses. Moonlight Magic was 2nd to Warmonger in the Group 1 Queensland Derby over 2400m at Eagle Farm last Saturday, although he did win by over 10 lengths. Miss Joelene was 0.6 length 3rd in The Roses, while Kind Words was 3 lengths 6th. All other runners are currently $20 or more.

Was 0.6 length 3rd in The Roses coming from a wide gate. Drawn wide again. Don’t dismiss.

If the track becomes heavy put her in your exotics.
