The early favourite is Wind And The Lion was a big winner on debut then was 4th in the Placid Ark Prelude where the wide gate was costly. Second favourite is Repossession who won the Prelude to give him 2 wins from 3 starts. Third favourite is first emergency Magna’s Choice who has won both his starts. Skull Bone And Pig was 3rd in the Prelude and has placed at both his starts. Madhi Girl was 2nd in the Prelude. Mai Aloha was a last start winner at this track and distance, while Charino is also a last-start winner. The other runners are currently $16 or longer.

Ran 5th in the Listed Fairetha Stakes over 1400m at Ascot on 9th November. Not out of it.
2. Keep Ita Mystery (12)
One of 3 runners for Luke Fernie. Hasn’t raced for 56 days and looks unlikely.
3. Angels Impact (18)
Has disappointed at both starts this campaign. Not keen.
4. Repossession (1)
Won the Prelude to give him 2 wins from 3 starts and is perfectly drawn. Winning chance.
5. Charino (2)
Last-start winner over 1000m at Ascot at only his 2nd start. No surprise to see him in the finish.
6. Horcrux (6)
Finished 6th in the Fairetha. Respect.
7. Wind And The Lion (3)
Was a big winner on debut then was 4th in the Placid Ark Prelude where the wide gate was costly. Can be in the finish.
8. Ripper Farooq (17)
Won very well over 1100m at Northam 2 starts back. Has drawn very wide and this is much harder.
9. Madhi Girl (8)
Was 2nd in the Prelude and can get into the money again.
10. Siren Assault (20)
Has the widest barrier. Won second-up last campaign but the barrier makes things difficult.
11. London’s Image (11)
Chasing a hat-trick after wins at Bunbury then Ascot. Goes well at this track and could surprise.
12. Golden Kathleen (4)
Finished 7th in the Prelude. Prefer others.
13. Golden Vale (5)
Peaked late for 6th in the Prelude. Unlikely.
14. Define Beautiful (14)
Prefer others.
15. Gold Flakes (7)
This looks too hard.
16. Mai Aloha (19)
Last start winner at this track and distance with good closing splits. Drawn very wide but still a place chance.
17e. Magna’s Choice (13)
Has won both his starts and seems to have plenty of talent. In the mix.

Speedy colt that likes to lead. Not the worst.

Looking to others.
