Eleven runners have accepted for the $200,000 Group 3 Kindergarten Stakes and there have been no early scratchings. The Bjorn Baker stable is saddling up two runners in the event whilst the other stables only have one entry each.

Semillion has come up as the early favourite after a solid fifth in the Blue Diamond last time out. He led all the way on the day from barrier 15 before finishing 1.3 lengths off the winner. Nominator is next in the betting and he is at the opposite end of the spectrum, coming into this race off a maiden win at Gosford.

Voldemort is on the third line of betting after a massive eye-catching win at Scone.

Has run well in all three runs to date but comes into this after 35 days off and has never run the Sydney way or on a wet surface. Take on trust.

2. Calgary Stampede (2)

Lost a plate last time out so his run is slightly forgiving. Needs to improve.

3. Spacewalk (1)

Broke through last start at Canterbury in a maiden race. Can run a big race if on song.

4. Nominator (8)

Winner at Gosford on the heavy going. Should come on nicely from that run and will create his own luck in front.

5. Voldemort (6)

His win at Scone was impressive, running the third quickest final 400m and 200m of the entire meeting. Can settle a touch closer from the draw. Unknown on wet.

6. Insurrection (5)

Third behind Nominator last time out. Needs to lift.

7. Bandi’s Boy (10)

Debut off one trial. Others.

8. Charlie Foxtrot (11)

Debut. Drawn wide, will go to the front. Trialed okay. Watch.

9. Asteria (9)

Debut. Full sister to Profiteer. Very speedy. Watch.

10. Ginger’s Gal (4)

Debut. Two solid trials leading in. Watch.

11. Kai Tak (3)

Debut. Prefer others.
