Our Ballarat Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.  The feature is the Listed Ballarat Cup (Race 8).

Its’ourtime (Ballarat Race 5 No. 4)
It’sourtime is a four year old son of Time For War trained by Danny O’Brien.  He has form around a number of quality horse such as Poland and Oxley Road in his first preparation and I thought his first up win over 1100m at Flemington was excellent.  Strips fitter here second up and should get a gun run for Fred Kersley who has three wins from four rides on him.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Mimi’s Award (Ballarat Race 7 No. 13):
Ben & JD Hayes galloper who has three wins and four seconds from nine starts.  She charged home at Caulfield two back, then was beginning to build the revs in the Group 2 Matriarch Stakes before running out of room late.  Is ready to peak here fourth up.

$6

Best Lay

Cusack (Ballarat Race 3 No. 5):
Cusack is currently rated a $5.5 chance in the 2yo Magic Millions Classic.  He like many of these is having his first start.  I wasn’t impressed with his jump outs and expect him to drift further as we get closer to jump time.

$5.50
