Our Canterbury Park Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Cadenabbia (Canterbury Race 7 No. 3):
This three-year-old Redoute’s Choice colt trained by Annabel Neasham has two wins and a place from five starts. He led until the final 100m when he was winded and finished 1.26 lengths 4th over 1200m at Newcastle on 6 February before a 13 week break. On resuming he kept chasing to prevail in the latter stages for a 0.2 length win over 1300m at Warwick Farm on 12 May. Nicely placed and looks the likely winner.

Zou De Moon (Canterbury Race 4 No. 9):
This three-year-old Zoustar filly trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott has a win and a place from two starts. On debut she knuckled down over the last 100m and won by a length over 1100m at Nowra on 6 December, then found the front at the 220m but the winner was too strong late and she was a game 2nd over 1350m at Newcastle on 26 December. She resumes here after 21 weeks and looks a nice each-way bet.

Decisive Move (Canterbury Race 1 No. 1):

This two-year-old American Pharoah filly is the early favourite in this 2YO fillies maiden handicap over 1250m. She had several trials before racing in a maiden plate over 1100m at Wyong where she was run down late for 0.08. 0.35 length 3rd. She carries 3kg more here and I’m happy to risk her.

Key Comments An evening meeting with the first race at 6 pm.The track is rated good and the rail is +8 metres from the 1200m to the winning post and +6 metres for the remainder. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with an advantage to those who find the inside lanes in the straight. Best Bet Azonto (Launceston Race 3 No. 12) Azonto won at Devonport Synthetic on debut, then

Horse Racing Tips: ACT Friday 18th October 2024

Key Comments The track is in the soft range. The best bet has been a model of consistency for us this prep and sticking with it to break through for a deserving win. Best Bet Pretty Vegas (Canberra Race 3 No. 2) Back to back placings this prep for Pretty Vegas and this looks a nice race for it to break through in. The jockey now has had a ride aboard and should know the horse better. Stays over the track and trip

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Friday 18th October 2024

Key Comments Expecting all runners to have their chance on this track. The best bet is in the last of the day and looks well placed to win off the back of a solid effort when a beaten favourite. Best Bet Illative (Pakenham Race 9 No. 5) Beaten favourite but comes into this with big claims. Started $1.85 that day and this race looks no harder. Will need a back to follow but has won on this track and commands big respect in
