Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

Tuvalu (Flemington Race 8 No. 12)

Lindsey Smith trained four year old who is yet to miss the quinella.  He ticked the 1600m box with a high rating win over Visinari here two weeks ago.  And that looks strong form for this.   Has enough early speed to press forward and negate the wide barrier.  Think he is a group horse in the making and thus he should prove very hard to beat here.

Pesto (Flemington Race 6 No. 5):

Pesto has been racing consistently well around Flemington in recent times.  He started a clear favourite in the lead up a fortnight ago where he was unsuited by the slow tempo and being away from the rail in the running but still hit the line well.  He stays on the minimum weight for this and is drawn well.  Despite losing Jye McNeil he looks forgotten about in early markets at $8.50.

Best Lay

Ashford Street (Flemington Race 7 No. 4):

The inform Ashford Street has come up favourite in the Santa Ana Lane final.  He has been flying this prep however has to be a huge query stepping back out to 1200m – a distance he is yet to win at in five attempts.
