This nicely bred filly from the Phillip Stokes stable caught my eye last start when she chased solidly in the final 150m for 3rd over 1000m at Mornington on 23 May and she looks ready to break her maiden status. As a 2 year-old she ran 2nd in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Preview (Fillies) and has only had 4 starts. Leading hope.

This six-year-old mare has won at this track in the past. Last start she tried to lead all the way before weakening out in the straight to finish 5th over 1200m at Strathalbyn on a heavy track. She looks better suited here and looks a solid each-way chance.

Going with those in form and despite the best and next best needing luck from their wide draws they both find very suitable races. Best Bet Dundas (Narromine Race 5 No. 10) Tough draw for Dundas but looks on track after a solid third placing last start and does have a good record with Gallagher aboard. Best Bet Rebel Shadow (Gold Coast Race 6 No. 3) Unlucky last start when he was held up until the 250m and then ran on strongly for 0.1 length 2nd. Drawn perfectly here and should be able to win.
