Kinesiology is a promising import who is well placed here off some very good efforts overseas. Should take beating. Amade still does plenty wrong but was excellent last start and he can win if he jumps clean. Berkeley Square has been superb this prep and was beaten by a smart one last time out. Star Vega can show up in this race and is looming around large odds. The chances don’t end there.

1. Serpentine (7)

Second behind a smart one last time out and that form has been franked in the Melbourne Cup since. Can win this and should be up on speed and hard to hold out.

2. Berkeley Square (6)

Flying this prep and loves this track. Jockey has a superb record aboard and this race is well within reach.

3. Amade (3)

Headcase horse who does plenty wrong but maps well from barrier 3. If he can jump with them he is well and truly in the mix and this race is within reach. If he puts it all together he can win this.

4. Smokin’ Romans (4)

Has been around the mark without winning. Place chance again with the good map.

5. First Light (9)

Can’t have.

6. Mission Of Love (10)

Prefer others.

7. Kinesiology (1)

Smart import who maps well from barrier 1 and is a market watch in this. Brings in some strong UK form and will take holding out from the good barrier.

8. Star Vega (8)

Consistent efforts recently and just needs even luck from the wide draw to go close.

9. I’m A Dirty Rascal (5)

Can’t have.

10. Pesto (11)

Prefer others.

11. Steel Blaze (2)

This looks too tough.
