I have always had a good opinion of Takumi and this looks the right race for it. The slightly awkward draw has to be overcome but it has plenty of time to slot in and its best efforts are above this grade. It should be favourite.

Couldn’t get the job done last start as best of the day but started $3.00 in this grade and now we get $15.00. There is a wide draw to overcome but Jarrod Fry knows the horse well, this seems large odds.

Glitter’N’Gold (Terang Race 5 No. 1)
Should drift against this lot. God win last start but flies up in weight and has to deal with a wide draw. I had Takumi marked clear favourite and Glitter’N’Gold around the $6.00 mark. It can win but looks far too short at its current quote.
