Track: Good Weather: Fine

A good mix of form lines in this race, headed by Bigboyroy leading the market and coming off a dominant win last start. The same tactics are expected to be employed here but it’ll be contesting for the lead with Scallopini who is ready to peak and find form. Kubrick can be hard to catch but its best efforts are good enough while Kirwan’s Lane looks nicely placed in this field.

1. Scallopini (9)

Lands on the speed and gives a kick. Might be copping pressure up the front and needs to lift on form but this is a solid drop in grade, well placed to take this out with luck from the draw.

2. Kirwan’s Lane (6)

Racing in super form at the moment and looks nicely placed in this field. Suited by the dry ground and should be hard to beat.

3. Bigboyroy (8)

Has been hitting form & will be trying to adopt the same leading tactics here as last start. Beat a handy field last time out but will not be getting the front as easily this time.

4. Kubrick (3)

Kubrick can be hit and miss but its best efforts can see it in the finish in a race like this and maps to do no work from the draw. Some hope from the barrier and can be pouncing on a hot tempo.

5. Oscar Zulu (4)

Oscar Zulu looks suited from barrier 4. It will be receiving a nice run in transit and is due for a change of luck. Has the class and ability to take this out and will be getting the right kind of run. Likeable in this.

6. Fender (1)

Fender continues to race well and strikes another suitable opportunity. It is the one that is over the odds at the moment and looks a massive hope on a 1×3 basis doing no work from the draw.

7. Bullfinch (7)

Hard to knock the prep of Bullfinch who just consistently finds the line and placings. Pike is in excellent form and just needs a pinch of luck from the draw to be going close.

8. Charmmebaby (2)

Barrier 2 should ensure Charmmebaby does no work and it ran a cracker last start. In well at the weights and has a booming finish, can win.

9. Adelase (5)

Racing well enough to be in the finish but prefer others.
