7 Stakes Race History
This is a new race that was introduced in 2023. The first winner was Think It Over ridden by Nash Rawiller who wore down weight-for-age star Zaaki in a very tight finish. Multiple Group 1 winner Fangirl ran 3rd. Think It Over was retired after this win with a career record of 14 wins from 42 starts and prizemoney of over $8.4 million.
It is held on the same day as the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes and the Group 2 The Shorts. The winner of the WFA 7 Stakes is exempt from a ballot for the $1.5m, Group 1 Epsom Handicap (1600m) which is held 2 weeks later
